How is your
January Challenge going? Are you reading one chapter in Proverbs each day? My family completed this challenge in December and we found it very refreshing and rewarding. We've repeated the challenge this month but have missed a few days on account of illness. Some of those days I didn't have the energy to get out of my pajamas. We fell out of our regular routine completely! So we didn't read our chapter in Proverbs. Despite our failing the challenge this month we had a "Hallelujah Moment" this morning. A "Hallelujah Moment" is one of those moments when you know the hand of God is acting in a situation or possibly when God reveals the fruit of your labours. This morning my son (now 4 year old) actually asked me to read the Bible. AND he sat still and listened with interest and delight! Hallelujah!!
So keep it up! If you've missed a few days, regardless of your excuse, pick up where you left of or just skip those chapters (that's what we do) and keep at it! My verse for today is one that I get great inspiration from. I hope it will help you and encourage you as it does me. May God bless you!
...let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that
so easily entangles, and let us run with perserverance
the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on
Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith,...
