What do I do with all these Peeps!? Roast 'em!

Now that Easter has come and gone many many Moms (and their kids) are left with A TON of Easter candy.  What now?


And if you're like me not only did you receive Peeps as gifts, you bought some for yourself (just in case no one else did!) and then went back and got more the day after Easter at 50% off!


This is my favorite thing to do with Peeps:
Roast 'em!

First you skewer the Peeps.

 Then you roast the Peeps in some lovely embers made by your handsome husband in the family fireplace (or maybe outdoors in the fire pit).

They will get really "melt-y" like this one.  They'll loose their features but that's okay.  It means they're becoming delicious!

I tried to set one on fire but was unsuccessful.  Are they fireproof?  Should I really be eating something that is fireproof?

Yes.

Once roasted to perfection let them cool.  The sugar will be really REALLY hot.  Test them with your fingers first.  Really test them before giving them to your kids so they don't get burned.

 Oh so delicious!!
